THE AMPLIFIER HALL

"Fill the house with life"

The hall features a completely restored grand piano from the Schiedmayer & Söhne Stuttgart company dating from 1913. A large open fireplace rounds off the ambience. The adjoining "Amtsküche" can be used for breaks and get-togethers. Drinks and, if necessary, catering will be organised by our external service providers and charged according to consumption.

The heart of events is the so-called“Amplifier Hall” with around 75 square meters. The room height of 3.70 meters allows for a variety of uses.
The spatial conditions and the special atmosphere are just as suitable for lectures, concerts or readings as they are for photography or filming. The amplifier hall can comfortably accommodate up to 50 guests in rows and is equipped with modern white designer chairs.

Our personal passion for culinary delights and our long-standing publishing collaboration with well-known chefs such as Johann Lafer, Steffen Henssler and Cornelia Poletto led to the idea of building our own “professional kitchen”. Our “official kitchen” is ideal for cookery (book) productions, cooking training courses for up to 12 people or as a backdrop for photo and film shoots.

Once a dark, unfinished laundry floor with cobwebs, the “attic” will now offer plenty of bright space for creativity and development with around 160 square meters, of which 120 square meters are one area. The room height of almost seven meters provides the right framework for truly “free” thinking. Three large studio windows with a view of the treetops and the sky as well as the absolute silence are perfect for concentrated work or meetings. A private kitchen with all the necessary equipment and separate toilets are available. Ideal number of people 10-40 people. Whether it's a conference, yoga group, seminar, lecture, workshop, meditation room or photo location: let us share your ideas and wishes. Drinks and catering are organized through our external partners and billed based on consumption. The room is technically comprehensive and equipped with the latest technology: screen (150 inches), laser projector, surround system, network, seating and tables, flipchart and high-voltage electricity. (Available since August 2023)

The amplifier hall opens to the west to approx.600 sqm garden. A sunny terrace of 32 square meters is the ideal place for a reception, for example. On hot days, the summer loggia is a perfect place for smaller groups of up to eight people for workshops or up to twelve people for lunch or dinner in the warm season. The garden with its attractive house views also forms an excellent backdrop for photos or films. The garden is accessed from the amplifier room, a separate garden staircase from the outside and the public path.

Der Bunker

THE BUNKER

Stripe1Red.png

During the Cold War in the early 1960s, Deutsche Post built a telecommunications bunker under the garden behind the amplifier office. Important in the event of a defense, all amplifiers were moved from the amplifier room underground. Generators, battery storage and these same amplifiers were in use until the end of the Cold War. At some point towards the end of the last millennium, all equipment was dismantled. Four large rooms with a total area of approx. 300 square meters and a height of 3.30 meters remain. The rooms are dry and heated and can be used later if we, or someone else, have a great idea and the necessary money for the renovation. Coming sometime...
